India is where the culture echoes, tradition speaks, beauty enthrals and diversity delights. Eventhough the culture of india is among the world's oldest but has neven been rigid. It is still survive with pride in modern era. What unique about the Indian culture, it moves on with times. It comes out as a contemporary and acceptable tradition which timely imbibes the qualities of various other cultures. The country's liveliness and generosity attract a number of tourists. The various aspects of India culture make everything is 'special' in this 'land of gods'.

Here are various aspects of Indian culture:

1. Language

India is made of 28 states and seven territories, and it is says that each has at least one official language. The national languages are Hindi and English eventhough there are about 22 official languages and nearly 400 living languages spoken in various parts of the country.

2. Religion

One can find people of all religions here in India. Eventhough India is the birthplace of Hinduism and Buddhism which is a huge majority of the population identifies as Hindu. Since India is a secular state, every citizen enjoys an equal right of choosing and following other religions like Muslim, Sikh, Christian. It is says that Indians are Muslim in India are making it one of the largest Islamic nations in the world.

3. Cuisine

Indian cuisine is as diverse as India, which are under Arab, Turkish and European influences. Indian cuisine is well known for its liberal use of herbs and spices, also its large assortment of dishes. The cooking styles vary from region to region. Since India is the birthplace of Hinduism, many of Hindus are vegetarians but lamb and chicken are common in main dishes for non-vegetarians. Like wheat and basmati rice are important staples of the Indian diet. In Indian cooking, they are very generously used curries and spices, including thick cardiments and spreads made from assorted fruits and vegetables such as tamarind and tomatoes and mint also other herbs. Usually, Indian food is eaten with fingers or bread used as utensils. Wide array of breads served with meals, including naan, a leavened, oven-baked flatbread, fluffy flatbread are common in North India and eaten with chickpea curry

4. Clothing

Indian women beauty lies in the clothes she wears. Indian clothing is closely identified with the colourful silk saris, its very traditional and ethnic yet contemporary are very famous world wide. Saris are worn with a blouse that cover the upper part of the body. The short blouse that covers the upper part of the body is called Choli and the long skirt is called Ghagara. To have a graceful and complete look, the indian women carry a dupatta, which is a delicate and soft material of reasonable length thrown over the shoulder.

Eventhough for men there is no dearth of variety, an India man prefers everything that fits well and looks good. From Dhoti Kurta to shirt pants, but traditionally you see North Indians wearing Kurta Pajama, Dhoti Kurta or Sherwarni or formal celebrations which South Indians man prefer Lungi with shirt.

5. Etiquette, customs and celebrations

Rather than disappoint others because Indians doesn’t like to say ‘No’, they just prefed said that isn’t available and only response with what they think you want. Some people might say that this behaviour dishonest and also an Indian have to at at least make an attempt to give a person what had been asked.

Greetings is a big influence in religion, education and even social class. Since India got a hierarchical culture, they usually great the eldest first. In the big cities which are more educated, shaking hand is common.

They believe that by giving gifts eases the transition into the next life after they died. It is the sincerity that are value not the gift which are more recipient. Usually in other countries if we are invited to other houses for a meal we usually will bring a gift but if we are invited to Indian’s home it is not necessary to bring a gift.

Arranged marriages have been in the Indian society for centuries. Even now in the modern era, the majority of Indians have their marriages planned. In India, weddings are festive occasions with extensive decorations, colors, costumes, music and ritual depend on the religion of the bride and the groom.

Since India is multi-cultural and multi-religious society. There are certain festivals in India are celebrated by multiple religions. A number of Hindu festival that are celebrated like Diwali, and a five day festival that known as the festival of lights and marks a time of home based family celebrations.

6. Arts and popular media

Everything is artistic here in India. There’s no other place in the world you can find such a great variety arts also in popular media. The traditional dance is actually more than 2000 years and the major classical dance are Bharata Natyam, Kathak, Odissi, Manipuri, Kuchipudi, Mohiniattam and Kathakali, usually the dance are based from the methology and literature and have rigid presentation rules. For them, music is the food for soul and the body. Besides the dance and the music, India also is well known for its film industry, which is based in Mumbai and its referred as Bollywood. It is says that Bollywood produces more films per year than Hollywood.

People in India are very proud of their culture and tradition, despite so many diversities they are still united. These are the reasons why I choose India.
