England Culture

England Culture


England is a country that is part of United Kingdom.England is a nice view country and suitable for us to have a nice trip there.Let me introduce this awesome country about its culture.


Food
Fish and chips is a popular food in England. In 1860, the first fish and chips shop was opened in London by Joseph Marlin. Besides that, England traditional food normally based on beef, lamb, pork, chicken and generally served with potatoes and other vegetables.




Drink
Tea is usual taken between 3 and 5 o'clock. Tea in England is traditionally brewed in a warmed china teapot adding one spoonful of tea per person. This traditional is still keep up in all around the country. Most British like their tea strong and dark, but with a lot of milk.















Sport

Cricket
England's national sport is cricket. It is played on village greens and in town or cities on Sundays from April to August. In a cricket team, there are made up of 11 players each. They play with a ball smaller than a baseball and a bat shaped like a paddle. Two players with their bat stand in front of wickets, about 20 meters apart. A player from opposite team will throw the ball towards one of the batters. If the batters hit the ball and the ball travel for enough, the two batters ran back before opponent team caught the ball, they will scored one point.

                                                         

Rugby
Rugby also a famous sport in England. It is similar to football, but it is played with a oval ball. Rugby players can carry the ball and tackle each others. One score will be given when a rugby player carry the oval ball and pass through the opponent goal line successfully.


Famous People

William Shakespeare ( 26 April 1564 - 23 April 1616 ) was an famous England poet and playwright, widely regarded as the greatest writer in English language and the world's preeminent dramatist. His surviving works consists of 38 plays, 154 sonnets, 2 long narrative poem and several others poems.

Joanne "Jo" Rowling ( born 31 July 1965 ), with her pen name J.K.Rowling is famous in England too, best known as the creator of Harry Potter series. With the Harry Potter books series, she had won multiple awards and this books series had sold more than 400 million copies around the whole world.


Famous Place

London is the capital of England. It is the largest city in European Union. London act as a major global city with world business, financial, media, fashion and many global activities organised there.

After introducing the capital of England, London, the next i'm going to introduce is Buckingham Palace. Buckingham Palace is one of the most popular landmarks in London. Buckingham Palace is place of British Royal Family live. The 600 room palace is surrounded by a 40 acre garden. Many visitors like to take photo in front of Buckingham Palace because of its nice view and nice background.

Last but not least, another famous landmarks in England is "Big Ben",  a famous bell tower in London. Actually "Big Ben" is a building and hours together with a bell. The name "Big Ben" is origin from the name of a  13-ton bell established in it.
