Culture is something that unites people,culture is us,it takes times to form an culture.In this whole wide world there are different societies,cultures, and ethnic groups that make up an largest number of people, it is the most unique pattern in the galaxies.Human changes in natural environment,contact between societies,and work within society.As in different country there are different ethnic and different cultural traits,belief,tradition and values among the world,thus, their living style and habits would different.Culture is not about what you feel, it is something about what we feel.It guides us,raises us,teach us and make us feel mysterious in it.It is about working with and tolerance.
To cite an example,Malaysia has a diversity of culture.The first people to live in the area were indigenous tribes that still remain,then Malay, Chinese and Indian. The specialty of Malaysia is their culture, although there are different among them in tradition,skin colour,religion,cuisine,music and language,they still could live together peacefully.Malay speak in malay language,their religion is Islamic, Islamic religion and its adherents,is known as Muslim. "Muslim" is an Arabic word meaning "one who submits to God".They pray 5 times a day.Besides that ,they celebrates Hari Raya,Hari Raya Haji,Ramadaan and etc .They do not touch dog as dog has been seen as impure.In addition, they play sompoton,tutuang,and nafiri as their traditional instrument.Apart form that, nasi lemak and satay is their specialty cuisine.It is cheap and mouth watery.
Nasi Lemak
For Chinese in Malaysia, they speak in Chinese ,Malay and English language,their religion is Buddhism,but some of are christian.They believe the concept of YIN- YANG.It is used to describe the ultimate power.Chinese pray their ancestor and god by offering incense. The recognized holy figures include Guan Yin,Jade Emperor and Buddha.In addition,they celebrate Chinese new year,Chap Goh Mei and etc.There are lion dance when they are celebrating Chinese New Year.It symbolising luck and red envelopes containing money ;angpau. They believe in playing firecrackers can scare away evil spirits. Furthermore, Chinese eat using chopsticks.It is short and pair equally length which are used as the Chinese traditional eating utensils.Apart form that, Chinese practice tea culture and often eat grained-based food.
LION DANCE
Indian:Indian in Malaysia,they speaks in Indian language-Tamil, Malay and English.They believe in Buddhism Hinduism, Jainism and Sikhsm. Their favourites Hindu god is anesha,Hanuman,Shiva,Durga,Lakshmi.They celebrate Deepavali which means "row of lights/lamps'', Deepa means lamp. Thaipusam. The words Thaipusam refers to a star near the location of the moon during the festival. Dog and elephant are considered to be scared in Hindu religion.Apart from that,Indians are known for their love of food and spices,vegetarian is significant portion for food.For your information,their traditional instrument are Tabla,Sarangi,Shehnai and Zither.
In a nutshell, culture is our treasure.This is our memory,our things which made us and shape us ,there are diversity of races and cultures in the world.We should know more about culture because the more we know about it the more open-minded are we become.It is unique,different and mysterious.It is a whole complex traditional behavior which is develop by the human and succesfully taught by generation to generation, it is us-HUMAN.
